General Information
Special, one-component paint formula suitable for direct application on pools and fountains of concrete or cement mortar. It is easily applied and dries quickly. It features high performance creating a hard but elastic film, with excellent behavior against UV radiation. It is also resistant to the permanent strain caused by water and to mold and fungi growth on the pool surface. Finally, it behaves very well towards chlorine and chemical solutions for pools.
How to Use
To ensure good adhesion, the surface must be dry (humidity limit <4%), clean, and free of dust, grease, salts, rust, residues, blistered paints, etc.
- On newly constructed pools of concrete or cement mortar, clean the surface with 10% v/v hydrochloric acid solution, wash with soapy water and let dry completely.
- On previously painted surfaces: remove old paints using solvents or mechanical means to ensure proper adhesion of the paint. Use KRAFT STRONG REPAIR 84 to fill gaps, cracks and other damaged parts.
- For protection against negative tensions, apply 2 coats of KRAFT HYDROGUARD FLEX crosswise. Enhance the edges using KRAFT HYDROGUARD NET antialkaline reinforcement mesh.
- Stir very well before and during application using a low-speed stirrer until homogeneous.
- Thinning: 1st coat: 5-10% with KRAFT NITRO SOLVENT 1100 2nd or 3rd coat: 0-5% with KRAFT NITRO SOLVENT 1100.
- Apply 2 coats of KRAFT POOL CARE for best results. Keep the coat thickness under 120mm, to avoid blistering, bubbles or untimely chipping off of the paint..
- Clean the tools and product residues immediately with KRAFT NITRO SOLVENT 1100.
- Store the product between 5°C and 35°C and <50% humidity.
- Keep containers tightly closed.
- In case of high surface temperature >55oC, the material tends to soften. Protect it by applying on the directly exposed to the sun edges around the pool, a solvent based 2-component PU transparent varnish.
