General Information
Transparent acrylic solvent-based primer of high quality for porous surfaces. It is used as a primer for emulsion and acrylic paints. It is suitable mainly for outdoor masonry surfaces made of concrete, gypsum plaster, gypsum board, cement board, etc. It reduces the alkalinity of the substrates. It is also ideal for waterproofing roofs. It offers high penetration into porous surfaces such as plaster, cement, etc. It stabilizes the substrates to be painted, ensuring excellent adhesion between the substrate and the topcoat. It is ideal for surfaces painted with glue, water-paint or lime.
How to Use
To ensure good adhesion, the surface must be dry, solid, and free of dust, grease, residues, blistered paint, etc. Avoid dust generation and exposure to it.
- On new surfaces: Before applying the topcoat, apply one coat of KRAFT DUR.
- On surfaces that need repair: Use KRAFT SPACHTEL or KRAFT PUTTY or a suitable KRAFT repairing material.
Allow new surfaces of plaster or concrete to dry completely for at least 30 days before color application.
- Before start painting, thin the paint 50-100% v/v with KRAFT BRUSH SOLVENT and stir well.
- Apply one coat of KRAFT DUR for an ideal result. For highly absorbent surfaces an extra coat is recommended. Then apply two coats of the KRAFT topcoat.
- Clean the tools immediately with KRAFT BRUSH SOLVENT and then with warm water and soap.
- Close the canister well to preserve it in good condition for future use. Store before or after opening in a cool place, avoiding sunlight or frost conditions.
